Congestive heart failure is a disease with a grim prognosis and cardiogenic pulmonary edema is its most life-threatening manifestation. Over the past decade many long held beliefs about the optimal treatment have been disproven and new, highly effective treatments have come into common use.
Regardless of whether you are a first responder or routinely perform interfacility critical care transport, you will care for these patients and the decisions that you make will be the difference between life and death.
